This is one of the delicious preparations of ma mom. .it tastes really good. .it can be eaten with rice with a little ghee on top of it. .instead of cabbage,u can also use tamato or bottleguard. .
Preparation Time: 15 Minutes

 Serving Suggestion : Rice or can be eaten as such

Ingredient Name Quantity
Oil 100-150gms(appx)
Salt To Taste

Asafeotida a pinch
Tumeric Powder a pinch
Curry Powder(usually Used For All Curries,home Made) 2 and half tbsp
Fried Gram(putnal Pappu)-powdered Finely 100gms
Finely Chopped Ginger,garlic And Green Chilles each 25gms
Onion 1-large
Cabbage(grated) 250gms
Mustard And Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
Curry Leaves(10) And Chopped Coriender(10 Stalks)

Directions

take a pan. .add some oil to it. .add mustard. .once it crackles,add cumin seeds. .add finely chopped curry leaves,green chillies,ginger,garlic and onion. .once onion gets transparent add finely grated cabbage. .add salt,tumeric and hing. .let the cabbage cook well. .add the finely powdered fried gram,curry powder and mix it well. .pour little more oil and close it with a lid. .make sure that it will not get burnt at the bottom of the vessel(madipokudadhu),only for that purpose we add oil. .arter 10-15 min,u can see the dish in golden brown color. .it should be in the consistency of rava upma. . garnish them with coriender. .serve it with hot rice or can be used as side dish for rasam rice,sambar rice and even curd rice. .it tastes awesome when eaten like that itself,without rice. .

Recipe Tips

if u use bottle guard for this dish,make sure u grate them and squeeze out all the juice. .otherwise the dish bcomes soggy. .if tamatoes are used raw,green color tamato can be diced and added. .
